What are the benefits of telemedicine
Telemedicine technologies allow doctors and patients to communicate in real time, increase the speed of medical care, make more accurate diagnoses and choose treatment methods with the involvement of narrow specialists of medical institutions outside the clinic and region. With the advent of telemedicine, high-quality medicine became available to patients without leaving home, and residents of remote corners of Russia with a small number of residents and medical centers got the opportunity to visit general hospitals without flights and long trips.

The basic set of equipment for a telemedicine office implies providing a doctor’s workplace with both research tools and modern means of video communication and data transmission remotely, and therefore must necessarily include a video conferencing kit, which includes: a widescreen screen, a high-resolution video camera, high-quality microphone and related software.

Set of equipment for medical telecommunications
The requirements for the quality of medical telecommunications are very high. A clear image and high speech intelligibility are extremely important. Videoconferencing terminal «all-in-one»
The HUAWEI TE40 all-in-one terminal is responsible for high-quality video conferencing, supporting 1080P30 HD video transmission and connecting up to 3-6 participants, as well as a microphone array included for accurate voice capture.


4K LCD panels
The main video display devices in the consultation and training room are 2 LCD panels with a diagonal of 55 inches and support for resolutions up to 4K. Data output is carried out via the DEPO Neos workstation computer and the Full HD desktop document camera Lumens PS752.
Radio system with headset
In the telemedicine room high-quality sound transmission is ensured by a wireless head radio system with a Shure headset: it transmits voice sound without interference, suppressing extraneous noise, and the image is displayed on 23" HDMI NEC MultiSync E233WMi screens.
Uninterruptible power supply
The safe operation of each set of equipment is supported by an uninterruptible power supply to guarantee continuous operation and independence from power supply problems: changes in voltage parameters and short-term interruptions in power supply.

Telemedicine videoconferencing stand
Each regional telemedicine center is provided with two mobile stands with video conferencing equipment:
- To organize a telemedicine videoconferencing session or train doctors
- For convenient access to the stationary location of a bedridden patient during a communication session

Telemedicine rack equipment set:
- HUAWEI video terminal,
- 2 LCD panels LG - diagonal 55”, support for resolution up to 4K, brightness 500 cd,
- HP Color LaserJet printer,
- uninterruptible power supply with an additional battery.

Rolling rack equipment set:
- HUAWEI HD video terminal,
- 2 HDMI 23” NEC monitors,
- endoscopic stand for two screens with accessories,
- uninterruptible power supply with an additional battery.

The project of the telemedicine center of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Russian National Research Medical University. N.I. Pirogov was commissioned "turnkey" successfully and on time.
The work plan included the following steps:

Regional telemedicine network built
Thanks to the new telemedicine rooms, the network of regional clinics in Kostroma, Magnitogorsk, Novy Urengoy, Tarko-Sale with the core of the network in Moscow has significantly increased the efficiency of their staff and the rationality of spending the budget, and patients have free access to a wider range of highly qualified medical services.

Offices in regional centers are connected to the main network through a structured cabling system (SCS) and to the core of the system in the RDKB RNIMU named after. N.I. Pirogov.
For the secure transmission of personal information over telemedicine networks dedicated secure channels are used, which allow to study the results of analyzes and studies.
At the reception both planned and emergency consultations are carried out, medical and organizational issues of examination and routing of patients are resolved.
During the re-equipment of the clinics' offices for the functionality of telemedicine the design was preserved (in some cases repairs were made), installation and wiring of all the necessary cable systems, connection and configuration of equipment were carried out.
